Excellent scope views were had of the first Great White Egret for the East Lancs Ornithologists Club recording area, on the River Ribble just upstream of the Aspinall Arms at Mitton mid-afternoon, albeit in miserable weather and light conditions for images.This surely has to be the same bird as that seen flying NW over a vis mig watchpoint at Oxenhope Moor in West Yorkshire on Monday 1st Nov.
